Year 3 had a fantastic visit to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford as part of their Ancient Egypt topic. From confidently chatting about gods, mummification and hieroglyphics to spotting real-life mummies (including a baby crocodile!), the children amazed everyone with their knowledge and enthusiasm.
A real ‘wow’ moment came when they handled genuine Egyptian artefacts — an experience that brought history vividly to life. After lunch in a nearby green space, the museum scavenger hunt rounded off the day with even more excitement.
This trip was a perfect example of a ‘wow’ moment reflecting our school’s spirituality approach of ows, wows and nows — sparking awe, curiosity and unforgettable learning. Thank you to all the staff and parent helpers who made it possible!
