We’ve had some fantastic cross country runners in Year 5 this year, with many rising to the challenge of competitive races. A big well done to all who persevered and gave it their all. Special congratulations to Charlie and Alfie, who both qualified for the county team! Charlie went one step further, earning a place at the National Cross Country Championships in the Year 5 boys' race.
The atmosphere was electric, with runners from across the country – from Merseyside to Kent – taking part. Charlie was truly running among the best in the UK. He tackled a tough, hilly 1.5-mile course with grit and determination, finishing in an impressive 9:01 and placing 101st out of 164 runners.
We’re incredibly proud of Charlie’s achievement and of all our amazing runners this year – what a team!
