Hearts for Homes

Posted on 18/12/2020

This Christmas, Harbury children took part in a wonderful new initiative called Hearts for Homes. It was started by a school near Liverpool during the first national lockdown as a way of local communities reaching out to the older generation of their area, either in nursing homes or assisted living. We decided to create beautiful hearts with messages of Christmas joy for anyone in our local areas who needed one. In fact, we took 170 of these to Galanos House in Southam, and handed 30 of them to local residents in the village. Much joy was felt from Harbury children's hearts to others!

"Thank you to the school for thinking of me, it's good to know that adults and children care about us"

"I so enjoy looking at the patterns"

"The words are very special. Well done to all the children and their teachers for a wonderful caring idea!"
