To love, learn and grow together
Since September, the children in Year 3 have been learning all about World War II. This fascinating topic has really captured their imaginations. So far, the children have discovered what rationing REALLY tasted like through their DT lessons where they made recipes such as trench stew and carrot scones (both were surprisingly tasty!). They have also been learning what to do in an air raid and how 1940s homes differ from modern day houses. The class were even lucky enough to visit Coventry Cathedral and learn all about how it was affected during the Blitz. On Remembrance Day, Year 3 showcased their learning through a class assembly that was recorded for parents and the rest of the school to enjoy. It’s been an amazing start to Year 3 and the children are looking forward to discovering more about this topic this term.
